While there are no armor upgrades in Mass Effect 3 that will benefit every class equally, there are a few that are solid options for multiple classes. The best armor upgrades to get first in Mass Effect 3 are largely a matter of player preference, both for stats and style. The Best Armor Pieces to Get First In Mass Effect 3 Here are some of the best armor upgrades in Mass Effect 3 and how to get them. Mass Effect 3 gives players far more customizable armor options, allowing them to mix and match pieces and get the best possible combination of stats. Access to some pieces will also be determined by the order in which Shepard runs Mass Effect 3 side missions. If they had added even just one line of "oh, Shepard, I barely noticed you under that helmet" it would at least add SOME creditably to having the dang things on 24-7 outside Normandy. You can be wearing any of the helmets that completely hide any identifiable trace of facial features, but EVERYONE instantly know's who you are just at first look. Even the 'Recon Hood' description was all about how "our operatives may not want their identities known, so here's this" but then you wear it and shock, it fools no one.
